About us
Squad was born in late 2023 out of a problem we had all personally experienced throughout our careers: a bloated product development process that feels like work for the sake of work, centred around the loudest person in the room instead of its customers.
Alongside this, 23’ was the year Generative AI became the catalyst for a trend that’s long been in the pipeline—the democratization of software development. From the latest and greatest no-code tools to ‘GPTEngineering’, its only getting easier to build software.
It’s in this combination of an overly complicated process coupled with huge growth in the access to software development that we saw an opportunity to build a simpler and more effective tool for managing product strategy.
